Definition
Using this option you enter with which resolution the logging for the exception is logged in the background processing. The less detailed the resolution the quicker the Alert Monitor is structured. The more detailed the resolution the quicker the execution time if you request a display of the individual exceptions for an entry.
The following options are open to you:
Line by line: An entry is made in the log for each line of the query tested in the background for which an exception arises. This can quickly lead to an overflow in the log, so a less detailed resolution is usually recommended.
Simple drilldown: In this instance, the exceptions that belong to a simple drilldown are added up and are logged together in one entry. In this way the number of entries in the log can be considerably reduced and the performance of the Alert Monitor markedly improved.
Extensive drilldowns: In contrast to the simple drilldown, even more exceptions are logged in one entry here, which can lead to an additional performance improvement for the Alert Monitor.
The sequence of characteristics, that is set when setting exceptions, determines the structure of the logged drilldowns.
