Definition

If the lock table is stored in the Shared Objects Memory of an application server a lock record for each locked selection is stored on the SAP lock server for synchronization purposes. The system compares the lock table with the SAP lock server each time a new lock is requested. This happens for each request by default.

Use

You use this parameter to determine that the system only performs synchronization after the number of requests determined here. However, if there is a locking conflict, the system has to perform synchronization.

If locking conflicts seldom occur you can apply this setting to reduce the time that a lock check takes.
