Definition
An elementary parameter can be assigned to a BW objecttype. This determines that the value of the parameter is always the name of an object of the specified object type.
Use
Specifying the object type serves to support BW object management. A planning function is an object in the BW Repository and can therefore be activated and transported. If your parameter references another BW object (for example, currency conversion type or an InfoObject that does not belong to the InfoProvider), specifying the object type ensures that this BW object is included when you activate or transport.
