Definition

This field indicates whether the planning function in the BRF BI Planning Connector (BBPC) is to include data from the beginning of the calendar year when performing calculations.

Use

Personnel budgeting planning calculations may require that data back to the beginning of the calendar year be processed in order to properly calculate values that are capped on a calendar year basis. In order to include past data for reference purposes only (no updates to reference data are made by Planning Functions), configure the calculation as follows:

  • Turn this checkbox on in the BBPC Scenario
  • Ensure that Calendar Year and Calendar Month Infoobjects are included in the Infoprovider and the Aggregation Level in BI Integrated Planning
  • In the Filter used for the BBPC Planning Function, use selection on Calendar Month to restrict planning to current and future months
  • In the Parameters for the Planning Function in BI Integrated Planning, enter a value for the parameter named "Include Reference Data from Start of Calendar Year" (consider using the variable 0CYEAR to provide the current calendar year).

With these settings, the BBPC Calculator will automatically include the months between January up and the first month specified in the Filter conditions for Calendar Month.
