Definition

A DataSource is an object that is localized within a source system. BW can use this object for data extraction.

For this, you must:

1. Assign the DataSource, which is to be used for data extraction, to a BW InfoSource.
2. Assign the fields of the DataSource to InfoObjects of the Business Information Warehouses.

This mapping is delivered and used normally for the delivered InfoSources of Business Content.
