Definition

For compatibility reasons, a VirtualProvider that is based on a data transfer process with direct access can also be linked with an SAP source system using an InfoSource 3.x. Since the transfer rules that are used for this can also be used for the normal load process to other InfoProviders, you must also select the source system that is to be used for the direct access for those VirtualProviders that are linked with an InfoSource 3.x.

This indicator only controls whether this source system assignment must be unique. If you set the indicator, you can only select one source system in the assignment dialog. If you do not set the indicator, you can select more than one source system. In this case, the VirtualProvider behaves like a MultiProvider.

Use

You can only set the indicator when you create a VirtualProvider. You cannot change it later.

Only set the indicator if you have defined (or plan to define) transfer rules for the InfoSource, from which data will be replicated, for more than one source system, but only want to use one of these source systems for direct access.

Dependencies

If you do not set the indicator, the 0LOGSYS characteristic will automatically be added to the VirtualProvider when it is created. This characteristic allows the query to dynamically select the source system: In a navigation step, data is only requested from the assigned source systems whose logical system name meets the selection condition of the 0LOGSYS characteristic.
