Definition

This indicator describes GUI technology that is used to edit objects of this type. The behavior of the transport framework for this object type deviates from this (substantially if SAPGUI dialogs can be sent or not).

The following values are supported:

• SPACE: Object maintenance runs in SAPGUI. Transport dialogs can always be sent.
• X: Object maintenance is not in SAPGUI. The SAP GUI can be started again if necessary (for example, queries in .NET). Within the BW transport system, the objects without dialogs are written to one or multiple BEx transport requests. If the standard transport system is switched on, the dialogs of the transport system are used for these objects.
• W: Object maintenance is complete without SAPGUI (for example, aggregation level in Java Web Dynpro). These objects are always written to one or multiple BEx transport requests regardless of whether BW or the standard transport system is switched on.
