Definition

Sequence number assigned by the HR system as an internal key for all of the transmitted data related the personnel action of one employee.

Use

The system assigns the sequential number as soon as the data in the IDoc appears in inbound processing.

The sequence number is used to uniquely assign individual employee data in the following tables:

• HRMS_HEAD
• HRMS_ERROR
• HRMS_DATA
• HRMS_PROTOCOL

Dependencies

Each sequence number is part of a defined number range. The settings for managing number ranges are made in the Define number range step in the Implementation Guide (IMG) by choosing Personnel Administration -> Interfaces and Integration -> Transfer of Master Data from External Systems.
