Definition

Geographical characteristic type

A geographical type must be specified for a geo-relevant characteristic. Four types are available for selection.

  • Statistical Geo-characteristic: Shapefiles can be used for this type (for example, country borders), to display the characteristic in the Business Explorer on a map (BEx map).
  • Statistical Geo-characteristic with Geo-attributes: For this type, additional Geo-attributes are generated.
  • Dynamic Geo-characteristic: Geo-attributes are created for this type, which enable point Geo-data for a characteristic (for example, customer, plant) to be displayed on a map.
  • Dynamic Geo-characteristic with values as attribute : For this type, the Geo-attributes of another Geo-characteristic are used.
  • No Geo-characteristic : This characteristic cannot be used as a Geo-characteristic for the display in BEx map.
