Definition
The template InfoObject is the InfoObject used as the technical basis for the DataSource field.
It can only be used for DataSoures that are defined in BW, for example, File DataSources and Web Service DataSources.
DataSources from SAP source systems (replicating source systems) define the technical properties of the DataSource fields (usually completely decoupled from BW entities). It therefore is not advisable to base a DataSource field of a replicated DataSource on an InfoObject.
Use
Enter the name of the template InfoObject.
The system offers to copy the technical properties of the entered InfoObject to the corresponding field of the DataSource.
Note that the assignment is not dynamic. No check is performed to see whetherf the properties are identical; either in a subsequent change to the technical property of the InfoObject or in a subsequent change to the properties of the DataSource field.
Dependencies
When you create a transformation, a proposal for the assignment of the DataSource field to a field of the target object is generated from the template InfoObject. The suggestion is based on the InfoObjects having the same name.
