Definition

A DataSource is an object that is localized in a source system. This object can be used by BW for data extraction.

Two assignments have to be made here:

1. The DataSource, that is to be used for data extraction, has to be assigned an InfoSource from BW.
2. The fields of the DataSource have to be assigned InfoObjects from the Business Information Warehouses.

This mapping is delivered and used by default for the delivered InfoSources for Business Content.
