Definition

This field of the extract structure of a DataSource satisfies one of the following criteria:

  • The field is of type Time Stamp.

    New records that should be loaded into BW with a delta transfer have a larger entry in this field than the records already loaded.

    Enter the time zone in which the time stamp was given.

  • The field is of type Calendar Day.

    The same critieria is valid for new records as for the time stamp field

  • The field has a different (numeric) type.

    In this case, the contents of the field are examined during the data transfer and the highest value of the current request is determined. Because the data packages are processed in parallel, it is not possible to evaluate this highest value for the current request. For this reason, it is not possible to define an upper limit (security interval) for this delta type.
