Definition
In the Business Information Warehouse, it is the job of the InfoCube to save data from a particular area.
Dependencies
An InfoCube is constructed according to the so-called star schema. It consists of a fact table containing key figures (for example, revenue, sales quantity), and several dimension tables containing characteristics (for example, company code, division).
The dimension tables each have a generated key field and contain the characteristics in the data part. The generated key fields for all the dimensions that belong to the InfoCube make up the key for the fact table.
InfoCubes are filled with data from one or more InfoSources with the help of update rules.
