Definition

If this indicator is set, maintenance of the master data / texts for this characteristic can be protected for the single records by means of authorizations. If this option is activated, you can enter characteristic values using the authorization object S_TABU_LIN for each key field of the master data table for which the user has authorization. This takes place in the Profile Generator (transaction PCFG). For example, user A may maintain values 1000 - 1999 and user B may maintain values 2000 - 2999.

If this indicator is not set, it is only be possible to permit or forbid master data maintenance as a whole (for all characteristic values).
