Definition

Build the cross-reference table only if necessary.

This flag is only relevant if the Error Handling DTP setting is completely switched off, i.e. set to Cancel Request, No Tracking of Records, No Update.

In this case, a check is performed when the system starts processing a request. If

·    a request is being created, and the previous request failed during processing, or

·    if the current request is re-started (using the Post Manually function in Request Monitor or Automatically Repeat Red Requests in process chains)

processing is performed using the Error Handling setting Cancel Request, Track First Erroneous Record, No Update.

Use

Processing requests with the error handling completely switched off is recommended as default. This offers the best performance for all cases where the quality of data is satisfactory, and the data flow has been tested. If a request contains an error, selecting this checkbox ensures that the follow-up run is performed in a way that helps to trace the source of the error by building the cross-reference table.
