Definition

A metric is a performance indicator. It is a quantitative measure of some aspect of the supplier#s delivery performance. Every metric is related to some Metric Category. It results in an absolute value for score points. The rules to calculate the score points can be formally expressed as a function of the information from the underlying business processes.

Use

The metric ID is used to uniquely identify a metric in SDPR. In general, you can use any name for such an ID. However, for metrics that are used for the measurement of on-time deliveries based on the quantity algorithm, the metric ID must start with "ONTQ_". This is necessary, because the algorithms for these metrics require weighting factors that will be maintained in the IMG activity Weighting Factors for On-time Delivery in Quantity Algorithm.
