Definition

This characteristic describes the conclusion "B" of the rule "Item A -> Item B" provided by the affinity analysis.

Use

The affinity between items is expressed by way of the characteristics Item and Conclusion.

Dependencies

This characteristic must have the same category as the characteristic Item but must be a different InfoObject. This applies also in cases where a compound InfoObject has been chosen as an item.

This means:

  • The number of the InfoObjects compounded to the characteristic for the item and the conclusion must be identical.
  • In addition, the categories of the InfoObjects compounded in each case must be identical in a specific position.
  • Item and conclusion must, however, each possess different compound InfoObjects.

We recommend that you use the characteristic Item as a reference characteristic for the characteristic Conclusion.

This characteristic must be contained in the Rule-Cube. Do not define the characteristic as a navigation attribute in the Cube.

Example

In the example-content the characteristic 0RPA_MATLG2 with reference to characteristic 0MATL_GROUP is intended for storage of the conclusions at material group level.

If you wish to use the InfoObject 0CM_SKU (compounded to 0CM_HIEID) as an item, you create InfoObject ZCM_SKU with reference to 0CM_SKU as the characteristic conclusion. You also create an InfoObject ZCM_SKU with reference to 0CM_SKU. Then, you replace InfoObject 0CM_HIEID as a compound InfoObject to ZCM_SKU with ZCM_HIEID.
