Documentation
Definition
In the Business Information Warehouse system, an InfoCube is used to save data from a specific area.
An InfoCube is structured according to the star schema. It consists of a fact table, which contains the key figures (such as revenue, sales), and multiple dimension tables, which contain the characteristics (such as company code, column). The dimension tables each have a generated key field and contain the characteristics in the data part. The generated key fields of all dimensions for the InfoCube form the key for the fact table.
Using update rules, InfoCubes are filled with data from one or more InfoSources.
For more information, see the InfoCube section in the Administrator Workbench documentation.
