Use
You can use this node to generate a target group for BW surveys from an analysis process. In the Web Survey, you can then include this target group in BW surveys.
For each row of the input table for the node, there is a recipient in the target group. If a particular business partner occurs more than once in the input table, it is included more than once in the target group.
Each BI survey recipient is defined using the fields Business Partner, User, E-Mail, and Name. The input table of the node therefore contains the four predefined columns Business Partner, User, E-Mail, and Name. If you use the incoming data flow arrow to assign these columns, the corresponding fields for the target group recipients are filled.
The recipients of a target group can have further attributes in addition to the default fields. This allows you to display additional information in the questionnaire for the survey. You can also extract the additional attributes and thereby incorporate additional criteria when analyzing the survey results. For each attribute, a corresponding column is added to the input table of the node.
Activities
- On the Data Target tab page, enter a technical name for the target group.
If the target group already exists, the recipient list is deleted and replaced by the new recipient list that is generated. If the target group does not yet exist, a new one is created. The description of the node is used as the description for the target group.
- On the Additional Attributes tab page, enter additional attributes for the recipients, as required.
- Double-click the incoming data flow arrow and specify how the fields for the target group recipients are to be filled.
Runtime Behavior
A target group is saved in an XML document. This XML document is built in the main memory and only written to the database once complete. If the main memory does not have sufficient space, split the target group into multiple smaller target groups. If required, use a filter node to restrict the data.
