Use
With the project transformation, you can hide the fields or rename field name and text. Use the transformation when a data source has too many fields or when field names are not clear.
Activities
- On the Field selection tab page, choose the fields that are to be transferred.
- On the Rename fields tab page, enter new fields names for the selected fields.
Example
- Data is being read from the master data table for the business partner. However, too many fields appear in the fields selection. Use the projection transformation to hide columns.
- With a join, the same column name appears in both data sources. Use the projection transformation to rename the fields so that users can more easily distinguish between field names.
