Definition

The determination of the anticipated memory space requirement for a table in the database.

You can choose a table category of 0 to 4. Each category is assigned a particular fixed memory area in the database. When a table is created, an intitial space is reserved for it in the database; if you later need more space for the data entered, the memory space is added according to the category chosen here.

Press F4 on the field Size Categories in order to see the number of data records for each category that can be included in your table without causing complications (for example, reorganization if you exceed the reserved space for a table of a particular size category).
