Definition

When you set the input mode, you can determine whether and on which aggregation levels in the query data can be entered.

0 Normal query (no entry)

The input readiness is deactivated and also cannot be activated dynamically.

1 Any navigation, only detail cells input ready

You can navigate as you like in the query. But cells are only input ready when they are at the most detailed level, that is if every characteristic for the InfoProvider in the global filter or in the associated structure element is set uniquely to one characteristic value or is drilled down. Only the leaves in a possibly active presentation hierarchy are ready for input. When generating the query, this means that all characteristics (except for navigation attributes and derivable times that are not set uniquely) are automatically inserted as free characteristics. This mode is intended for plan queries.

2 Any navigation, only cells on detail or all are input ready

You can navigate as you like in the query. But cells are only input ready when every characteristic of the InfoProvider is either not set at all or set to a unique characteristic value. If the characteristic is not restricted, either with a fixed or dynamic selection or in the associated structure element, the entered data for this characteristic are saved with the key initial value or SID = 0 and then displayed again accordingly under '#' with the text 'not assigned'.

3 You can only navigation at the detail level

The system takes all characteristics of the InfoProvider that are not uniquely filtered as free characteristics in the query and automatically drills them down in the rows. This means that the cells are always visible at the most detailed level and are input ready.
