Reorganization

Use

The IDoc Copy Management tool logs when which IDocs were created and copied for which ship-to parties and with which status. The information for this is stored in the database.

Information that is no longer required for all the follow-on processes can be reorganized by setting this indicator when starting the tool. The data records that are no longer needed are not archived, but simply deleted. All the log entries that no longer have a corresponding entry in Customizing (View V_TWPCOPY) are also deleted in the reorganization. A correspondence can disappear if entries in Customizing are not subsequently changed.

There are two ways of doing the reorganization:

1. By status:

Only data records that are no longer needed for follow-on processes due to their status are reorganized.

We recommend you use this procedure.

2. By date:

Data records - regardless of their status - are deleted here. Only the creation date of the reference IDoc and the date on which the copy process to the ship-to party took place are taken into account.

The creation date of the reference IDoc corresponds to the date on which the IDoc creating application created the reference IDoc.

The copy date corresponds to the date and the date that the Copy Management tool copied the reference IDocs for the ship-to parties maitained in Customizing.

For reorganization by date all the information that satisfies at least one of the two entries (creation date or copy date) is deleted.
