Definition
The nursing insurance indicator field controls the calculation, assignment and payment of nursing insurance contributions.
Use
The nursing insurance indicator is a supplement to the official contribution group code and is only used internally.
0: No insurance liability
No NI contributions are determined in payroll for employees, coded with the indicator 0.
Use the indicator 0 for the following persons:
- Short term employees
- Part time employees
1: General contibution
Use the indicator 1 for employees liable to pay statutory health insurance.
5: Privately insured
Use the indicator 5 for employees with private nursing insurance for the following groups:
- Employees with private health insurance
- Employees with statutory health insurance, who have chosen a private health insurance
- Employees liable to pay statutory health insurance, who chose a private nursing insurance prior to 23.06.1993
7: Voluntarily insured
Use the indicator 7 for employees who are voluntarily insured in the statutory health insurance, and who are liable to pay nursing insurance to the same nursing fund for the health insurance institution.
8: Half contribution EE
In payroll, half contibutions are determined for employees coded with the indicator 8. The contribution is paid by the employee.
Use the indicator 8 for public servants.
9: Full contribution EE
In payroll, the full liability contibution is determined for employees coded with the indicator 9. The contribution is paid by the employee.
Use the indicator 9 for retirees, who are insured in statutory health insurance.
