In this field you enter the total amount (pre-tax) that the employee contributed to a 403(b) savings plan while working for your organization Before the First Payroll Year (BFY), meaning "up to the end of the calendar year before the first SAP payroll was run for this employee".
For example, if the first SAP payroll for this employee is run on February 1, 1999, then you would enter the total 403(b) contributions made by the employee (while working for your institution) up to December 31, 1998.
