Definition

Displays the cumulative length of service of an employee at different duty stations.

The system does not consider separate periods as consecutive periods of service for the following cases:

  • Resignation
  • Abandonment of post
  • Summary dismissal or dismissal for misconduct
  • Refusal to accept extension of appointment
  • Agreed termination
  • Termination for unsatisfactory service

Note

The system considers separate periods of service as consecutive periods only if the cumulative service since last six years is at least five years.

Use

The system uses length of service to calculate mobility allowance.
