Documentation
Definition
Enter hardship classification for duty station.
You maintain the hardship classification defined by the organization. The organization has defined the following hardship classifications:
- H
- A
- B
- C
- D
- E
The hardship level at a duty station increases in ascending order of hardship classification from A to E. So, a duty station with hardship classification D will have higher hardship level than the duty station with hardship classification C.
The hardship classification A and H have least level of hardship. You assign hardship classification H to headquarter duty station where the organization has no developmental or humanitarian assistance programs. You assign hardship classification A through E to field duty stations.
Use
The system calculates the hardship allowance for an employee based on the hardship classification of his or her duty station.
