Documentation
Definition
When you enter time data, you can effect a different payment for the recorded working time or work data by specifying an amount in this field. In some cases, the amount is used as the valuation basis in payroll. If the amount and the extra pay indicator (which is specified at the same time) are taken together, a different valuation basis is used for the wage type.
Supplementary Documentation - PTM_VBAS7S0001

Use
The Valuation basis field has two different functions in the Employee Remuneration Information infotype:
- If you also enter an extra pay indicator in the Employee Remuneration Information infotype, the wage rate is increased or reduced by the valuation basis.
- If you do not enter an extra pay indicator, the valuation basis replaces the wage rate from payroll (if there is one). The system uses the value from the valuation basis in payroll. In this case, you should not make an entry in the Amount field in the Employee Remuneration Information infotype.
