Documentation
Definition
By entering the validity period, you specify the valid from and valid to date of the record from the Absence Quotas infotype (2006) that is created during time evaluation for the specified absence quota type.
Use
You can use one of the following periods:
- Calendar year: Period of 1 year from 01/01/xxxx - 12/31/xxxx
- Time evaluation period: Time evaluation period, as specified in the Determine time evaluation periods step
- Payroll period: Payroll period that is valid at the end of the accrual period for the employee's payroll area
- Accrual period: Time interval on which the calculation of the entitlement is calculated
- Base period: Period for which the employee's base entitlement is valid
- Transfer time: Time at which the calculated accrual entitlements are transferred to the Absence Quotas infotype (2006).
- Other period: Individually defined period; the period parameter is specified in the Define period parameters step in Customizing for Payroll.
- Date type: The date type is read from the Date Specifications infotype (0041). An infotype record must have been created for all employees.
The system interprets the date specification from the infotype without the year (for example: date specification: 01/15/(19)97; the system reads 01/15) and replaces it with the current year. The interpretation of the key date allows either the start or the end of the validity interval to be determined.
