Definition
By reversing the +/- sign, you can convert a negative value to a positive value, for example.
Use
Procedure
Examples
You want to flag flextime deficits in a time type and a deduction wage type. You enter a value limit of -5. You want the surplus to be identified in time type 0006 - Flextime surplus/deficit and deduction wage type M730 - Flextime deficit.
At the end of the time evaluation period, an employee has a flextime balance of -8. After it runs through the rule, the system enters the value -3 in time type 0006 and wage type M730.
If you reverse the +/- sign, you get the following results:
- The time type contains a positive value. It is displayed as a positive value in the time statement form, for example.
- Since the +/- sign has been reversed, a positive value is entered in the deduction wage type. The employee's salary or wage is reduced.
