Definition
Indicates the money spent by an employee towards purchasing a house or piece of land by hire purchase. This amount is allowed as a Tax allowance (or exemption) subject to maximum limits and conditions.
The employee will not be allowed to claim the tax allowance (exemption) for Housing allowance - Hire in case he or she has already claimed tax allowance for the Housing allowance - Cash.
Example
During the tax year 2001, an employee can claim a tax allowance for money spent on purchasing a house or land by hire purchase upto a maximum limit of 100,000 THB.
