Definition
You can cumulate the period balance from the previous period in another period balance.
Whether or not the period balance is transferred from the previous period (see Transfer from previous period) has nothing to do with it being transferred to another period balance.
Exception:
At the start of a new year, the system refers to the period balance from previous period and not the period balance from previous year.

In the standard system, the flextime balance (0005) is cumulated in the period balance flextime previous month (0008) at the start of a new period.
