Documentation
Definition
Specifies whether newly generated absence entitlements are to be included with existing entitlements of the same type.
Use
You can use this function to grant employees absence entitlements in advance, even before entitlements are generated automatically. The existing quota is then taken into account alongside the automatically generated quota. This enables you to record leave for next year before the new absence quotas for the annual leave have been generated, for example.
This function works only if the validity period of the newly generated quota lies entirely within the validity period of the old quota or if the validity periods are identical. This field only affects quotas that have not been generated by time evaluation. For this reason, the field is displayed only for the relevant quota types in the view.
If you select this field, the system calculates the difference between the existing entitlement and the new one and generates a new quota that has the value of this difference. If the difference is less than 0, the system does not generate a new record.
If you do not select this field, existing records are not taken into account when new quota records are generated.
Dependencies
Example
In the last quarter of the year, you use report RPTQTA00 to generate new leave entitlements for your employees. However, an employee has already planned ten days' leave for early next year. The employee has a total annual leave entitlement of 20 days.
You have selected this field in Customizing. You create in advance an absence quota of 10 days of annual leave for this employee for next year. When you subsequently run report RPTQTA00 to generate absence quotas for the entire company, this employee's newly generated entitlement is included with the existing entitlement. The system therefore generates a second absence quota with an entitlement of 10 days.
