Definition
Specifies that data is to be sorted according to the technical sort field entered here, and not according to the output field.
Use
Dependencies
To use a field as a technical sort field, you do not need to include it in the field selection.
Example
You want to sort your employees according to their sort names (SNAME). In the employee list, however, the employee names are to be displayed as formatted names (first name, last name).
In this case, you enter the Formatted names as a field (CL_PT_UIA_FORMAT_NAME) and enter the technical sort names EMPLOYEE_SNAME under Sort fields.
You specify name formats in the Define name format activity in the IMG by choosing Time Manager's Workplace -> Basics -> Name Format.
