Definition
Specifies how the system is to determine employees' average weekly working time.
Use
You can choose from the following methods in the rule for determining the week converter:
Constant
You can use this method if you have employee groups where all members of the group have the same weekly working time based on collective agreements. The system can reduce the constant for part-time workers according to each employee's employment percentage. You must also specify a reduction rule for such cases.
This method can also be used if you want to guarantee a fixed number of weekly hours for particular employee groups, such as part-time employees with irregular working times.
Weekly Working Hours from Planned Working Time
The system uses the value in the Working Hours Per Week field in the Planned Working Time infotype (0007).
Average Actual Working Time
In this method, you can use the actual times worked by employees to determine the weekly working time.
You specify a day balance in which you store employees' daily working time. You can use the Analysis Period field to define the period you want the system to use to calculate the average working time.
You should also consider whether you want to take account of absence times for the calculation. This would mean that the week converter would not have too low a value for employees who were on vacation, for example. You can use time type 0003 (skeleton time) as a model.
Average Planned Working Time
In this method, the system forms the average using the planned working hours from the employee's personal work schedule. Unlike the method using the Weekly Working Hours from Planned Working Time, this method also takes account of substitutions from the Substitutions infotype (2003).
You have to specify the period over which you want the system to form the average.
