Definition

Indicates whether the employee has been actively employed in your company long enough to be eligible for absences covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Use

The system calculates the employee's length of service (in months) to determine whether the employee has attained the minimum seniority required by the various FMLA guidelines. The system stops its calculation once the minumum value is reached.

If the employee has attained the minimum value, the system outputs the minimum with a plus sign (+).

If the employee has not attained the required value, the system outputs the seniority determined with the required minumum number in parentheses alongside it.
