Definition
Defines a condition for the duration of a selected period.
Use
You can define a threshold value and a maximum value for periods and date-based durations in the selection rule.
Threshold value for a selection rule
The system only transfers the selected period for the evaluation of a valuation model if the duration of the selected period is greater than the defined threshold duration.
When the selection rule is used, the period up to the threshold duration is only rounded off if the Round off under threshold value indicator is set. In contrast, the period is always rounded off below the threshold value for the threshold value of a selection class.
Alternatively, you can define a threshold value with a specific number of full calendar units. The Only full calendar units and Round off under threshold value indicators cannot be used together.
Maximum value of a selection rule
If the selected period is greater than the maximum value, the duration is reduced to the maximum value. The Round off above maximum value indicator is always set.
Further notes
The threshold value and maximum value are not taken into account for a particular evaluation type in the valuation model. This evaluation type calculates a start date from a given end date and a duration. For more information, see the Implementation Guide for Personnel Administration under valuation model.
