Definition

In this field you define whether it is a renewal or extension of a time entry sequence.

Use

If a new Time entry sequence should be defined, one of the first time entries different to the renewal number must be entered here. Time entries with different renewal numbers can be included in the employment period calculation.

Time entries with the same renewal number represent an extension. They are considered in the employment period calculation.

Further notes

A renewal number can only be entered when the second time entry can represent a renewal or extension of the first.

If a time entry differs to the previous, with the second time entry it is a renewal.

Example

The first time entry is saved as follows:
01.01.2001 - 31.12.2001    time entry: 0100    weighting factor: 50 %
Renewal number: 01

You enter a second time entry:
01.01.2002 - 31.12.2002    time entry: 0100    weighting factor: 70 %
For an extension you leave 01 as renewal number.
For a renewal you enter the renewal number 02.
