Use

Each portfolio type contains a validity period: a "date from" and a "date to." When a portfolio is determined for a trading contract item, this parameter indicates which date in the trading contract is to be used as the portfolio date.

Valid entries are:

• Current Date
• Posting Date
• Pricing Date (Purchasing or Sales)
• Delivery Date (Purchasing or Sales)
• Document Date (Purchasing or Sales)

Example

The system takes this date into account when users associate a purchase item and a sales item (or their follow-on documents). You can specify here that an association can only be made if the dates for the purchase item and the sales item fall within the same period.
