Definition

Specifies the denominator for the conversion factor with which the system converts sales units into base units of measure.

Use

For many material processing functions such as creation of production requirements, a conversion of sales units into base units of measure is required.

Example

You store an alcohol-free drink in barrels, but sell it in 1 litre bottles. The conversion factor is as follows:

                    100 FL <=> 1 FS

The first figure (denominator) shows the sales units, in this case bottles. The second figure (counter) shows the corresponding amount in base units of measure, in this case barrels.
