Definition
This field specifies the employee's marital status for tax purposes.
Use
It is relevant for employees with income category A and H and is one of the factors used to determine the Tax table or Tax table column to use in the tax calculation.
Dependencies
The value of this field is checked for consistency against the Personal Data infotype (0002).
Nevertheless, the marital status relevant for tax calculation can be different from the marital status specified in the Personal Data infotype. In fact, a divorced employee counts as a single one for tax calculations as well as to single persons living together can have their tax calculations accounted as married tax payers.
