Definition
Is estimated based on the remunerations paid to the employee during a certain period of time. This period of time, as well as the remunerations considered, are defined by the paying institution (Social Security, Insurance Company, etc.).
Example
In case of sickness, the daily average salary is estimated using the remunerations subjected to Social Security of the first six months within the last eight-month period.
