Definition

If set, the system corrects the annual estimated amount for leave days not yet taken, regardless of other estimation methods.

Note: This happens when the employee has a change in contract conditions, thus affecting the reference remuneration.

Example

The company pays the vacation allowance on a fixed date (April). Employee R's salary is 1100 EUR. She plans to take 10 days of leave in March and 12 days in September. In April she receives the total vacation allowance. In the meantime, she becomes a part-time employee, thus having her salary reduced by half (550 EUR). Since there was a contractual change, the company adjusts the vacation allowance although it normally does not adjust already paid vacation allowance. This implies a negative adjustment of the amount already received by the employee for the leave days in September. The adjustment is the following:

12/22 of the salary difference are deducted from her pay, that is,

  • 1100 - 550 = 550 (Salary difference)
  • 12 * 550/22 = 300 (To deduct from the paid vacation allowance)
  • 1100 - 300 = 800 (Retrocalculated vacation allowance amount)
