Definition

If set, it indicates that the adjustment must be paid immediately. If not, the adjustment is paid together with the next vacation allowance payment.

Example

The company pays vacation allowance before each leave period. Employee C's salary is 1000 EUR. He takes half of his vacation (11 days) in March and receives 500 EUR as vacation allowance. In May, he receives a pay increase of 500 EUR, thus receiving 1500 EUR in total. In September, he takes the rest of his vacation days and receives, in August, 750 EUR (11/22 of the current salary) as vacation allowance.

Since it is the company's policy to completely adjust the vacation allowance already paid, the employee must receive, together with his allowance for September, 11/22 of the pay increase (500 EUR) as adjustment of the previously taken vacation.

The adjustment payment occurs in May that is, immediately, when the pay increase occurred. If the flag is not set, the adjustment occurs in August, when the next vacation allowance is paid.

  • The adjustment is calculated as follows:
    • Remaining vacation days * pay increase / number of working days =>

11 * 500 / 22 = 250 EUR

  • The vacation allownce for September is calculated as follows:
    • Remaining vacation allowance + Pay increase for 11 days =>

750 + 250 = 1000 EUR

  • Total vacation allowance for this employee:
    • 500 + 1000 = 1500 EUR
