Definition
Tax code issued by the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department (IRD) to identify the tax formula for calculating the employee's tax.
Note
The tax code CHILD is not specified by the New Zealand IRD. This applies only for children who are 18 years old or younger, and are expected to earn more than the tax free threshold. If you use this tax code, you should pay the employee only a non taxable amount. In this case, the system does not list the employee on the Employer Monthly Schedule or the Remittance Certificate.
