Definition

Specifies the ID that Altinn assigns to your message after the message successfully passed certain formatting checks and is archived. A message is forwarded to the responsible authorities only after it is assigned an archive reference ID.

Use

The archive reference ID links a correspondence message that you received from Altinn to the related message that you sent to them.

Archive reference IDs are downloaded to your system when you retrieve statuses for selected messages from the Altinn portal using the Retrieve Document Statuses from Altinn option.

The fact that a message does not have a reference ID, indicates one of the following:

• The message has not yet been sent to Altinn
• The message did not pass the format checks; therefore, it was rejected by the Altinn portal.
