Definition

The funds required for financing a person or a position in the financing or allocation period.

This is calculated as follows:

  • The funds required for a person is the default value (which is determined on the basis of the person's classification) multiplied by the person's capacity utilization level (e.g. full-time).
  • The funds required for a position is the total of the required funds of all the persons who hold the position, multiplied by their staffing percentages.

Use

Two scenarios are possible:

  • You are on the Allocate screen of a budget:

    The funds required include only the funds that are still required after the position or person has been financed by other budgets in the allocation period.
  • You are on the Finance screen of a person or position:

    The funds required include all the funds required for financing the position or person in the financing period.
