Definition

Specifies a foreign employee's employment restrictions during his or her stay in Japan. The work restriction is stated on the foreign employee's resident card.

Use

Dependencies

To define a work restriction in the system, see Customizing for Personnel Management under Personnel Administration -> Personal Data -> Identification (Japan) -> Define Work Restrictions.

Example

You can select the following work restrictions for the employee:

  • No permission to work activities
    The foreign employee is not permitted to engage in any type of work activity.
  • No restriction
    The foreign employee is permitted to engage in any type of work activity.
  • Work activities restricted by resident status
    The foreign employee is only permitted to engage in the work activities defined for his or her resident status.
  • Work activities restricted by resident status in an organization
    The foreign employee is only permitted to engage in the work activities defined for his or her resident status in an organization.
  • Work activities specified in designation certificate
    The foreign employee is only permitted to engage in the work activities defined in the designation certificate.
