Student Data Header Subscreen
The student data header subscreen appears in the student file and in most student-related Campus Management transactions.
Setup of the Header Subscreen in the Student File
The system displays the following three lines in the header subscreen:
- Name line containing the student's "last name, first name", gender, date of birth, and date of death if applicable
The system determines the data which is valid on the current system date.
- Line containing the student's principal organizational unit and campus
- Line containing the student's status information and student group
The system displays the student status if the status is assigned to the student on the system date or on at least one of the days which follows the system date.
You can adjust the setup of this line according to your requirements in Customizing for Campus Management under Campus Management Master Data -> Students -> Status Display .
Refreshing the Header Subscreen
It is important that program control be returned to the user as soon as possible after data is saved at the end of an activity (for example, registration or the entry of death data). The system therefore often updates the data you enter aynchronously. It also updates the system status asynchronously. Consequently, the update procedure may not yet be completed when you display the subsequent screen and you still see the old status information.
The system refreshes the header subscreen data as soon as it has completed the update procedure and the user triggers a new action or chooses Enter.
