Use

Fee categories serve as additional pricing parameters for fee calculation in Campus Management.

You can use fee categories to define different fees for domestic and foreign students in the same student group, for example.

Fee categories are only used in pricing if you have incorporated them in the pricing procedures and in the associated condition tables in Customizing for Campus Management.

Dependencies

The system derives the fee calculation procedure it uses to calculate specific fees from the fee category and other parameters. You can define how the system should derive the fee calculation procedure in Customizing for Student Accounting under Fees -> Pricing -> Fee Calculation Procedures -> Define Fee Calculation Procedures.
